A Local Book for Local People picks up where the second series of The League of Gentlemen left off. Viewers of the program saw the Local Shop attacked by a mob from Royston Vasey and burnt to the ground. Local Shopkeepers Tubbs and Edward were last seen engulfed by flames and falling masonry. But unbeknown to Edward, Tubbs had been keeping a scrapbook of things she had found on the moors, which she called "a local book for local people." Recovered from the smoking ruins of the building, 4th Estate now presents an exact facsimile of that scrapbook. It contains fold-out maps, photographs, brochures, guides to sites of local interest, Herr Lipp's pink pomplet, Val and Harvey Denton's toad-themed wallpaper, and much, much more.

Great if you really loved the show, otherwise, you won't get it
By Joel Landau
A nice production, tightly woven to the show and it explains some of the things that were left hanging.
I'm sure people visiting my home won't appreciate this as a coffee table book, but then again, they aren't exactly "local people" either.

The found lost scrap book of Tubbs Tattsyrup
By Dandeleo
From the television show League of Gentlemen, this is supposedly the scrap book made by the female character, Tubbs, who runs the Royston Vasey local shop for local people alongside her brother, Edward. For fans of the series, this was written by the four writers of the show and comprises newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photos, drawings and all sorts of things that you would see in someone's scrap book, regarding or supposedly created by various characters from Roysten Vasey. If you like the show you'll probably like this, but it isn't essential reading.
